Just Talk week 2021 is taking place between 15 – 21 November 2021.This year’s competition theme is ‘The Five Ways to Wellbeing’. There are 5 competition strands for primary schools and secondary schools/colleges to get involved in. The competition includes lots of fun and creative challenges from essay writing, song writing and poetry, to photography, or designing a new game. There really is something for everyone! The competition

There's a competition for primary schools, and one for secondary schools and colleges. They are both centred around our Five Ways to Wellbeing, with a different challenge for your students to choose from, from the 5 different ways we can boost our wellbeing and mood.

We've got a selection of handouts you can use to help inspire your students too.

How to enter

There are two ways to enter:

Schools/colleges can send us scanned copies of a selection of their best entries (maximum of 10 entries per year group) to be reviewed by our judging panel to - or by using the entry form below. 

Children and Young people can send us a scanned version of their entry directly using the entry form below, or they can email it to for us to shortlist and send on to our judging panel.

This competition is open to anyone living in or attending a school or college in Hertfordshire, aged 4– 24.


Judging and Prizes

The judging panel will consist of Just Talk network members and young people, who will choose the winners from each category.

The winning entry for each category will receive a certificate and £25 in online vouchers. There will also be several £10 vouchers for runners up prizes.

The winning entries will be displayed on the website (with the entrant’s agreement).

Closing date

All entries to the competition should be received by 5pm, Friday 3 December 2021.
